May Heart's of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. If you have been here before welcome back.  It features Close to my Heart Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The Hearts of the West team was founded by Nancy Klein.

This months challenge is using the Wanderful Paper Pack, brought to you from the Annual Inspirations, hand picked by Nancy Klein.
If you came from Kerry's Blog then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

I would like to share with you a 2 page layout I made using the Wanderful Paper Pack and Wanderful Picture My Life cards.  I also used the May Stamp of the month "Just Sayin"  and 4 x 6 flip flaps.

This layout has lots of space for photos.  Spots for 5 - 2 x 2 photo.
If you used flip flaps even more.

I have used a 4 x 6 flip flap to add room for more journalling and photos.
I plan to add even more of the 4 x 6 flip flaps and make a little mini album.

I am going to use this layout to document my exciting
road trip adventures this summer.  I am going to
California for CTMH convention!!!!!

I love how easy it is to use the PML cards and how they can be
used for so many different things too.
I have also used the May Stamp of the Month: "Just Sayin" on this layout.  In May with a $50 qualifying purchase you can purchase it for $5.  It can also be purchased for $19.75 for the month of May only.

Thanks for joining us this month and come back next month to see what creative projects we can bring to you! Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment.

April Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my Heart Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The Hearts of the West team was founded by Nancy Klein.

This months challenge is using the Confetti Wishes Paper Pack, brought to you from the Annual Inspirations, hand picked from Nancy Klein.
If you came from Holly's Blog then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

I would like to share with you 3 cards I made using the Confetti Wishes Paper Pack.

The first card is a card using the pattern and stamps from the new Blossom Cardmaking Kit.  I used Canary, Crystal Blue, Thistle and Black Ink for the stamping.  I used Pacific cardstock to mat the stamped images.  I colored some sequins using Shinhan markers.  I love this the stamp set from this kit and will be using it often.   The new Blossom Cardmaking Kit is available to purchase starting April 1st, it is from Seasonal Expressions 2.

The second card is another Birthday card and it also features a new stamp set from Seasonal Expressions 2.  The stamp set is Friendly Pets, I stamped the dog and then colored him in using Shinhan markers.  I used the polka dot embossing folder to add texture to the Pacifica cardstock in the background.  I used liquid glass on the Happy Birthday to add definition and then added the stars as one of my little guys decided to come look with his fingers while it was still wet.

Finally the last card features some of the stamps from the April Stamp of the Month.  I love how vintage this stamp set is and the versatility of it.  Can see myself using this one lots too, especially for little notes or masculine cards.  I inked the edges of the checkered paper with Pacifica ink.  The finger image and sentiment were stamped with Pacifica ink as well.  The typewriter was stamped in Black Archival ink and then fussy cut out and adhered using foam tape to add dimension.

The stamp of the month for April is Typed Note and with a $50 qualifying order it can be yours for $5.  This stamp is available for the month of April only and can be purchased for $19.75 if you don't have a $50 order.

This is a card I created for my Creative Coffee Time.  I also created this card using the Brushed Paper, Cranberry and White Daisy Cardstock.  I rounded 2 of the corners on each square.  The edges of the Cranberry cardstock is sanded.  I stamped the White Daisy cardstock using the Assorted Edges stamp set and Pixie ink.  The sentiment is stamped in Black ink and from the Your Own Kind Of Wonderful stamp set.  The edges are inked using Hollyhock ink.  I used the pattern from pg. 43 of Make It From Your Heart™ Volume 2  I love using this book for ideas.

I have entered the Blogging World

Come and join me as I begin this new adventure.

It is a new year and a time to try new things.  I am excited to try new things and to share them with you.

I am a busy mom of 3 wonderful children and being creative is my "Me Time".  It is how I de-stress. It is also how I show my love to others.  Over the years I have created far more things for others as gifts than for myself.  I love to give something handmade as a gift.

I am an Independent Consultant with Close to My Heart.  I signed up as a consultant in April 2014 and absolutely love it.  I love Close to My Heart and their products.  I will be sharing lots of projects on here using CTMH products.  I also, teach different scrapbooking, cardmaking, and mini album classes.  I will be posting upcoming classes and workshops on here.  If you are interested in hosting a Gathering and earning free product let me know.

I look forward to inspiring you and serving you.

Kim
