I decided to play around with the Smitten stamp & thin cut set and combine it with the Sweet as Honey cardmaking workshop kit.  I wanted to show that you can take a workshop kit designs & switch it up by changing the stamp set.  I designed these for my VIP customers.

For these cards I used the same supplies as the kit called for plus some clear & paprika shimmer brush and some Tri-Blend markers for colouring (Orange, Citrus, Ice Grey, Brown Grey and Pale Pink.)  The supplies called for are Black ink pad (I used both Archival & Intense Black), Sundance ink, Rosemary ink, Sponge daubers, thin 3-D foam tape and adhesive.

February SOTM Blog Hop - Doodled Borders

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! I hope you will hop along with us and check out all of the amazing artwork created using the February SOTM, called Doodled Borders, it is a set of 36 stamps.

 This month we have around 23 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. 

Here is the card I created, isn't it just the cutest?  I used pattern 15 from the Make it from you Heart Vol 4 how to book.  These are a great resource to have.

Using the Doodled Borders set, I created the background textured paper.  I stamped tone on tone using sage, smoothie and blue belle cardstock & inks with 3 of the different stamps.  I also used Archival Black ink to stamp a couple of the other borders on the edge of the card and sentiment piece.  

I used the Winter Penguin set to stamp the cute penguin with Intense Black ink and coloured the toque with Blue Belle shimmer brush and the pom-poms with Diamond Stickles.  

The sentiment is from the exclusive VIP - We are Good Together stamp set. (If you aren't a VIP yet, I highly recommend it (a) because you will get 15% of what you spend back in VIP credit for a future order. To embellish I used some black shimmer trim and the Blue Belle sequins.

Paper Ink Swiping Technique

 Good Evening Everyone!

I wanted to pop on here and share some artwork with another technique that I learnt at the CTMH album retreat just over a week ago.  I taught this technique live on Facebook on Saturday during my Good Stuff Virtual Weekend Crop the link to that video is HERE.  I did this technique near the end of the video as it was a video on Distress Oxide and Stencils.  So, here is the card I created using a few of the techniques from the layouts that are below.  I love how you can take techniques and use the same technique on both a layout and a card.

I recommend our CUSTOM12 or CUSTOM24 cardstock packages where you can choose your colours in multiples of 2s.  They are a great way to get just a few sheets of multiple colours instead of 24 of a single colour.  

NOTE:  The Distress Oxide inks have been a hot seller and have been selling out but they will be coming back in stock so just check back if the colour you want isn't in stock.

There are a couple days left to become a Maker and this is the lowest I have ever seen it be to sign up in the almost 7 years I have been a Maker/Consultant.  You can sign up for $20 and we give you $21 in CTMH cash to spend.  So, we pay you a dollar.  You have until the end of January to get this price.  As a Maker you get a minimum of a 25% discount/commission.  You also get to see & order new products before everyone else which is a huge perk.
