Today, I have a couple of different projects to share with you. This SOTM is very suited to creating scrapbook layouts but you can also create cards with it as well.  So, I have 3 cards and a single page layout to share with you.

I used the  Sweet as Honey paper, Botanical Embossing Folder, Onyx Liquid Pearls, the cardstock colours are Mulberry, Sage & Black, and the ink pads used where Mulberry, Sage & Black.  I also used some gold foil paper and gold shimmer trim.

For the layout, I used similar elements.  Paper colours are Harbour, Black, White, Linen and Mink.  Ink pads Harbour & Black.  I added doodles with the Navy LePen and black journaling pens.

Here are some close-ups of the details.

I love to create my own pattern paper.  Here are 3 that I did.
I love the line of words and how that frame makes great pattern paper.

I sponged Harbour ink on the background paper.  I added some dovetailed Black Shimmer trim under the title element which is popped up on thin foam tape.

I added the year under the photo using the number stamps in this stamp set.
As you can see this photo is from almost 30 years ago.

If feels so nice to document this story.  I have been trying to use some of my old photos that I have printed.

I hope you enjoyed this layout & the cards and I would love to hear what you think of them.

There are about 13 Close To My Heart Makers/Consultants sharing their creations using products from the new January/February catalog and other great CTMH products on their blogs.

Today, I am sharing a layout I created using the Sweet as Honey Collection.

I used this Sawyer Layout from page 14 as inspiration and then created it with the Sweet as Honey Paper. & Cardstock.

The diamond type shapes where cut on my Cricut using the Artiste collection.

I created a collage on 3 of the diamonds using the Sweet as Honey Cardmaking workshop kit stamp set (this workshop is expected back in stock in February sometime.) with Pewter, Mink and Sundance ink pads.

I love the texture the cork hearts from the Sweet as Honey cork shapes adds to this layout.

I used Distress Oxide inks (Spiced Marmalade, Antique Linen and Pumice Stone) to create the background on my base page.

The large bee is again from the workshop kit stamp set and the small one is from the Sweet as Honey - Cardmaking stamp & thin cut set.  I stamped them in Archival Black ink, 1st & 2nd generation stamping.

The title is from the sticker sheet and popped up on foam tape.

The journaling spot is tucked behind the photo and can be easily pulled out with the bee that is on that journaling card.

Here is the process video of how I created this layout.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and I would love to hear what you think of it.

Technique Hop - "Let's Get Geometrical"

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month there are about 13 of us highlighting the “Let's Get Geometrical” Techniques!  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you get lost along the way Melissa has a complete list of the hop participants.

If you are coming from Cat's Blog, you are on the right track!

Today, I have a scrapbook layout to share with you. It is my take on a pattern from the Make It From Your Heart Vol.5.

I decided dive into my scraps and to incorporate a few different geometrical shapes into my project.  Can you spot them?

Do you recognize any of the people in this layout?  These photos are over 20 years old.  LOL.

I cut 1/2" x 1.5" strips of Sawyer Paper & the coordinating colours of cardstock.  I inked the edges of all of them with my Harbour ink pad.

I used my Grape ink pad and a plastic bag to smoosh ink on the background.  The flowers are cut using the Layered Flowers Thin Cut set.

How many shapes have you found yet?  There are more circles hidden on the photo mats as I embossed them with the Kaleidoscope embossing folder and then ran my Grape ink pad over the white paper.

I love this layered title that was cut using the Sawyer Digital Art Collection.  It was so easy to put together.

Of course I had to break out the clear shimmer brush and add it to the title & the centers of the flowers.

We got squares, triangles, rectangles and circles all in this layout.

I still need to add the journaling to this special layout but it is so nice to have this memory from so long ago documented.  I am so blessed to have known and been friends with these 2 sisters for over 30 years now.

Thanks for stopping by! Please continue onto Haley's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!  If are in Canada and don't have a Maker, I would love to help you.

January SOTM - Sweet Little Things Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! I hope you will hop along with us and check out all of the amazing artwork created using the January SOTM, called Sweet Little Things it is a set of  10 stamps.

This set is only available for the month of January.  It is $25.75 or you can get it for $6.75 with a $60 order.  Or for free with a $60 order if you are a VIP customer.)

If you arrived here from My Heartfelt Sentiments, then you are in the right spot.  The blog hop is a big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, Melinda's Blog has a complete list of all the participating consultants.

This month we have around 11 Close To My Heart Makers/Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.

Can you believe that today is the beginning of a new year?  Well with a new year, I have set some creative goals and one of them is to get photos onto my layouts and to get all these photos that I have printed scrapbooked.  So, what started out to be a card turned into a double page layout of my oldest.  This stamp set is perfect for so many things and 1 of those things is recognizing the special people or moments in life.  I will be adding my journaling of these special things to the squares with the flower border.  My almost 15 year old would appreciate not everyone seeing it.  LOL.

I used the new Sweet as Honey paper collection as well as the Sweet as Honey Digital Art collection to create this layout.  I cut the hexagons & the stencil for the inked background with the Digital Art collection.  So, if you have a machine that can cut SVGs you are good to go with this collection.  I love to use our how to books and used pattern 4 from the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1 book.

I stamped the cute little mouse in Intense Black ink and then used Avocado, Sundance, Mink ink pads and a water brush to colour with.  I stenciled on Mink Cardstock & inked the edges with the Mink ink pad and added doodle lines with the .03 black journaling pen.  The sentiments were stamped in the Sundance ink.  I love the strips of the Black Ore paper.  The title is cut in black cardstock using the New Slim Alphabet Thin cuts.  I also added some bitty sparkles and clear sparkles.

Here is the Process video for how I created this layout.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and I would love to hear what you think of it.

National Scrapbooking Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our National Scrapbooking Month Blog Hop! I hope you will hop along with us and check out all of the amazing artwork created using the special products in the National Scrapbooking Month: You Are Enough Collection.  These products are available only until the end of June and while supplies last.  If you are looking for a deal check out the bundles as they are 20-30% off.

If you arrived here from Michelle's Blog, then you are in the right spot.  The blog hop is a big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, Melinda's Blog has a complete list of all the participating consultants.

There are about 14 Close To My Heart Makers/Consultants sharing their creations using this National Scrapbooking Month: You are Enough collection and other great CTMH products on their blogs.

I decided to create another layout using photos of my daughter that I took over 11 years ago when she was a baby.  I posed her with flowers from a bouquet that I got at her baby shower.  This collection was perfect for documenting this.

I just grabbed a bunch of scraps out of my pile from some other workshops that I have been working on using this paper collection.  The only thing I needed to cut today was the strips of paper for the words and die cut the butterflies.  I loved being able to just layer some scraps behind the photo - this is a great way to use up some of your bits of leftover paper.

I know it is hard to see but I added splatter to the white paper with shimmer brushes, looks better in person.  I used the Blue Belle shimmer brush along the edges of the strips with the words and they are popped up on thin foam tape.  I love all the different butterfly elements available in this collection.  I would love to know which butterfly element is your favorite?

This is such a powerful message and I want my daughter to always remember it.

This whole collection has this theme - You are Enough.  It is a message that we all need to take to heart and remember.

I am especially reminded of it as my community is being hit harder with the pandemic than it has up to this point.  Our schools all switched to remote learning today and we are all wrapping our heads around that again.  We have been very fortunate to have had low case counts to this point and all linked to travel outside of the territory up to the current situation.  I need to remember that I am strong.

Here is the whole You Are Enough Collection.

Supplies Used:

- White Daisy cardstock
- Peach ink
- Sangria ink
- Blue Belle shimmer brush
- Mint shimmer brush
- Gold shimmer brush
- Sugarplum shimmer brush (retired)

I hope you enjoyed this layout and I would love to hear what you think of it.

If you arrived here from Becca's Blog, then you are in the right spot.  The blog hop is a big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, Melinda's Blog has a complete list of all the participating consultants.

This month we have around 17 Close To My Heart Makers/Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.

It is National Scrapbooking Day today and so while I am listening to Jill cut paper on the CTMH Facebook page I created this layout using the SOTM.  I am in love with this set.

I used a combination of the new Hillside Cottage paper and the new Mix-In collection of paper.  I also used White Daisy and Flamingo cardstock.

I stamped using VersaMark ink and the gold embossing powder.  I added the you inspire me stamp into my journaling using Archival Black ink.  This is a fun thing to do.

I added a little stenciling with the Abandoned Coral distress ink.  I also used this ink on the larger photo mat.  The white photo mat is using the Floral Lace embossing folder.

These are the layered butterflies and I have added the same ink to them in a variety of ways as well as the gold shimmer brush to the white one.  I absolutely love these thin cuts.

The flower is created with the 3-D flower thin cuts, I used the smallest 2 and added the bold bitty beads to the middle.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and I would love to hear what you think of it.

Now "Hop" on over to Melissa's Blog to see what she has created! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! "Dazzling Dimension" CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!
This month there are about 12 of us highlighting the “Dazzling Dimension” Techniques!  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you get lost along the way Melissa has a complete list of the hop participants.

If you are coming from Katy's Blog, you are on the right track!

Today, is the 3rd day that the temperature has been above 0C and it is melting like crazy outside.  Spring has finally started to happen up here in the Northwest Territories of  Canada.

I decided I wanted to create a layout using Pattern 1 of the new Vol. 5 Make it from Your Heart how do book.  This pattern has paper weaving which is a fun way to add dimension.  I went into my old photos to find a photo to use and found this fantastic photo of me from 20 years ago.  I can remember that spring day and some of the emotions I was feeling.  Remember, it is never too late to tell your story.

I tried to create dimension in a variety of ways.  I love the paper weaving and the off set photo mats.

I love the dimension water colouring the flowers with the ink pads, adding clear shimmer brush and Diamond stickles adds to them.  For added dimension I popped them up with foam tape.

Doing the part of the title popped up on foam tape with the edges inked is another way to add dimension to a project.  I also blended some Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink behind the title.

Using an embossing folder, inking the edges of photo mats, layering photo mats and using foam tape are other ways to add dimension.

Stamping along the outside of a photo mat.

Supplies Used:
- Cherry Blossoms stamp set
- Peacock Cardstock
- Smoothie Cardstock
Peach Cardstock
- Almond Cardstock
Smoothie ink
- Peacock ink
- Espresso ink
Diamond Stickles
The Stamptacular sale is happening until the end of April.

Thanks for stopping by! Please continue onto Maz's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!  If are in Canada and don't have a Maker, I would love to help you.

Pocket Card Perfection Blog Hop

Welcome to our  Pocket Card Perfection Blog Hop! I hope you will hop along with us and check out all of the amazing artwork created using the special products in the Pocket Card Perfection special.  These products are available only until the end of March.  Check out all the other Pocket Card Collections we also carry HERE.

If you arrived here from Lauren's Blog, then you are in the right spot.  The blog hop is a big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, Melinda's Blog has a complete list of all the participating consultants.

There are about 11 Close To My Heart Makers/Consultants sharing their creations using Pocket Cards/PML/Picture My Life Cards and other great CTMH products on their blogs.

I did a Facebook Live this morning showing both sides of all the cards in the Pocket Card Perfection special (Party Time & Lovely) if you want to see it go HERE.

I decided to create a layout using the Party Time PML cards and a few photos from almost 11 years ago of my son's Birthday.    I used Pattern 4 from the Make it from you Heart Vol. 3 book to create this layout.

Right now we have the Cardstock Carnival also happening so I decided to mostly pair the Party Time PML cards with some of our cardstock and show off the white core of our cardstock.  If you want to see a video of how I did this you can go HERE.  I used Nectarine cardstock with an older CTMH embossing folder that is almost like the Cascading Dots embossing folder.  The 1/2" strip is Charcoal cardstock and I used scissors to edge distress the edges. I used Green Apple for the base, Sapphire for the mat and used a scoring tool on them for the lines.  I brought out the white core by sanding them.

I had to run the paper through 2 times in the embossing folder to do the full 12" strip.  I love that our embossing folders have a slit at the top so you can just slid it through.  Here you can see what it looked like before & after sanding it.  Which effect do you like better sanded or not sanded?

I just got some of the Copper Ore paper and WOW.  I love it, just an 1/8" strip has such impact.  I will be using this lots.

I love the scored journaling lines, such a fun look. If I need more I can add a few more.

I fussy cut along the scallop of this card to create this part of the title element.  I did the stamping on White Daisy cardstock with Nectarine ink and inked the edges with Sapphire ink. The stamp set I used was the Pennant Banner Alphabet.  I added the nd with a Black 0.05 Journaling Pen.  The striped paper is from the Party Time Paper Package.

I just love how this turned out, I was able to personalize this PML card.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and I would love to hear what you think of it.

Now "Hop" on over to Pam's Blog to see what she has created! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the Pocket Card Perfection & Cardstock Carnival specials are only available until the 31st!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can purchase these products!  If you are in Canada and don't have a consultant I would be happy to help you.
